Our application offers various compass styles and modes of operation. Whether you are exploring remote areas or navigating city streets, our compasses provide precise functionality to keep you on course.

Each compass can be used in magnetic or GPS mode and comes equipped with a range of tools for customizing appearance and performance settings. In magnetic mode, the app automatically calculates the magnetic declination specific to your location, displaying the variance from true north. Alternatively, you can opt to show the variation from magnetic north, simulating a traditional compass. All magnetic compasses in the application benefit from gyroscopic stabilization when used on devices with a built-in gyroscope sensor, ensuring smooth and stable performance.

Included in the features is a military compass that indicates heading in mils (milliradians). The military compass offers the advantage of determining the distance of objects from your current position. Refer to the conclusion of this description for detailed instructions.

For compass orienteering assistance, users have access to a map with dynamic measurement tools for determining accurate heading and distance to any target from their current position. The map enables users to establish a bearing towards their target and navigate accordingly.

While our compasses function in both GPS and magnetic modes, we recommend utilizing GPS mode for active navigation. This recommendation stems from the potential interference that the magnetic compass in a smartphone may face from surrounding electromagnetic fields or the device's electric current-generated magnetic fields. When properly used, the GPS mode ensures greater accuracy compared to the magnetic mode when there is ample sky visibility and forward movement. To familiarize yourself with the app's functionalities, practice using the compass in both modes within familiar environments before relying on it in unfamiliar territories.

Additionally, two unique 3D compasses are provided as part of the application's features.

Determining the distance of objects from your current location using the military compass:

1. Use the military compass to establish the arc width (milliradian span) of a distant object with a known size.
2. Divide the known size by the arc width to calculate the distance to that object.
